New Music Mondays: Made in Chelsea edition

Hello lovelies!

If any of you guys watch Made in Chelsea you will know that they always use kickass music on the show that I have stuck in my head for days. Well, this week they used I'm In Love With My Life by PHASES and I have completely fallen in love with it. This song is so catchy and I can't seem to get it out of my head as per usual, so I thought I'd share it with you all too!

*Review* - Nivea Visage Facial Wash Gel

Y'know how people say "Every girl has that one guy who she always goes back to"? I feel like us bloggers should update this to "Every girl has that one cleanser she always goes back to". If that was the case then the Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Wash Gel would definitely be mine!

I originally picked this up whilst looking for a cleanser to use with my facial cleansing brush as I'd heard they work best with gel cleansers (thanks Internet!). I had also been on the hunt for a Gel Cleanser as these work well with oilier skin types, but I've found these harder to track down on the highstreet for an affordable price. I hadn't used a lot of Nivea products before, apart from their trusty moisturizing cream and the odd sunscreen lotion, but I seen this on offer in Tesco for £2 and thought I'd give it a try. 

First of all, this stuff smells amazing. All Nivea products have that suncream smell, which I love. Who wouldn't want to be reminded of sunbathing by the pool on holiday with Pina Colada in hand?

As someone with oily skin which can be sensitive on occasion, I always tend to look for products that are gentle and won't break me out. This is a really reliable product for me as I know it won't irritate my skin and I find that it can soothe my skin if I do have any spots, without drying my skin out. On it's own, this product works really well and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. If I ever want a deeper cleanse of my skin, I use this with my facial cleansing brush and it works just as well, if not better. 

The fact that it is a brand stocked in almost every high street drugstore or supermarket makes it accessible for all. It is also one of those products that is normally on offer or part of a multi-buy which is an added bonus as we all love a bargain!

Overall, I am a big fan of the Nivea Facial Wash Gel (as you can tell by the 4 bottles I have gone through already) and will continue to repurchase. If you are looking for a gentle cleanser that smells amazing and doesn't cause irritation, this is the one for you!

Guess who's back..

Well, after much thought and 5 whole years (eek, I feel old) I have relaunched my blog and I am so excited about it! In the words of Gabriella and Troy, this could be the start of something new! Blogging is something that I have always had an interest in and I follow many blogs religiously but I've always wanted one of my own, a wee corner of the internet that belongs to me (or Blogger, for now) and now I have it.

Technically this blog has been around since 2010 but my 17 year old self had a lot of living to do and blogging kind of took a back seat. But, here I am, 5 years later, with much more wisdom and a whole lot more free time!

So, without further adieu, welcome to Lust for Life, a blog which direction I'm not quite sure of yet (much like my life!) but, isn't that the fun part? Stay tuned for more posts!

Apologies that it's been such a long time since I've blogged. I wanted to make a post to kind of explain myself, and share with you all what I have been up to. Well, I've finally landed myself a job. It's definitely at the bottom of the ladder and doesn't pay much but it's better than nothing! Now, I can't blame this solely for my absence but it is a key part. Having to go to work 5 days a week leaves less time to take pictures and think up blog post ideas but I'm going to find the time! I thought I could do some outfit of the day posts for what I wear to the office. Also, when the weekend rolls around ... I promise to take my camera everywhere with me. So thats the plan of action, lets see if I can do it!

somebody said you've got a new friend...

Just a little update about my day yesterday. Wasn't a very productive day at all (oops!) as I mainly lazed about and sunbathed but it was way too hot. Then, one of my friends passed her driving test! Now we can take it in turns to drive :) So a couple of my friends just went out in her car for a wee run. Here's some pictures:

the end of the beginning.

Last night was my Prom Night which marked the end of my High School career. This is just a little outfit post as I didn't want to put up a lot of pictures from the night so I didn't step on anyone's toes incase they weren't comfortable with their pictures being put up for everyone to see, but I thought I'd share a few with you all. Please excuse my unnatural skin colour in many of these pictures .. I had a bad experience with a spray tan! But here's just a little insight as to what I wore:









Holding onto my dress because of the wind.

My overall look for the night was boho .. I loosely curled my hair then swept it to the side. Makeup was kept very natural with a coral blush, neutral eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner and one coat of mascara.

All in all it was a great night .. rather bittersweet though. I am sure we will all go on to bigger and better things. Good luck for the future Class of 2010!
